Flyspray by James Howard (1960), thought to be the 1st original Cino play. No one seems to know anything much about it. It may have been done prior to that under the direction of James Howard and with a cast that included Davies and Jeremy Johnson. FLASH: Feb 1, 2009, photographer Rowland Scherman writes: “I saw Flyspray. A couple of times. It was an anti war, anti-arms buildup play, inspired I suppose, by Eisenhower’s speech. I photographed it. And I KNOW I can find these pix. Somehow. It was brilliantly directed. Produced on a shoestring but who cared? It was very funny in a horrific kind of way..”
